up and running. The Beijing Opening Ceremony is fully
booked and thousands are practicing their roles in
this major event. The Olympics Opening Ceremony will
be one of the key showpieces of the Games and every
attempt is being made to ensure its success. One issue
in relation to the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony
is the weather. Predictions are that there is some
probability of rain - most likely light rain 47% possibility
but the chances of heavy rain are reckoned at only
6%. But not to worry the Beijing Weather Modification
Office is ready with 21 locations around the city
of Beijing ready to fire rockets to "seed"
rainclouds to prevent them reaching the Bird's Nest
National Stadium! These rockets will carry harmless
chemicals which will ensure the clouds release their
rain in some other area of the city. These methods
have been tested and willl also be geared up for the
Closing Ceremony too.
